Welcome to Silver Crescent CIC
Supporting Older Muslims and Carers with Connection, Community, and Compassion

About Silver Crescent

Silver Crescent CIC is a UK-based Community Interest Company dedicated to improving the wellbeing of older Muslims (50+) and the carers who support them. We work closely with community networks, mosques, non-profits, and partners to help create services that are culturally-sensitive, welcoming, and genuinely meet people’s needs.

We begin our work in London in 2025, with plans to grow into a national network that strengthens communities and makes support easier to access for everyone.

Our Mission

To strengthen the capacity of community networks and support carers through partnerships, infrastructure services, and culturally-sensitive engagement.

What We Do

We work alongside organisations, community groups, and local partners to ensure older Muslims and carers receive the right support, at the right time, in the right way.

Our work includes:

  • Supporting community networks with training, guidance, and shared resources
  • Providing friendly and practical support for unpaid carers
  • Working closely with faith and community organisations
  • Promoting culturally-sensitive and faith-aware car
  • Building partnerships with the NHS, local authorities, charities, and research bodies
  • Championing the needs and experiences of our communities

Our belief is simple

When organisations are stronger, older people and carers receive better support.

How We Work

We bring people together and help build the foundations that allow communities to thrive.

Offering practical tools, training, and advice to help local organisations grow confidently and deliver effective services.

Collaborating with health services, community groups, universities, and national bodies to improve access, representation, and long-term impact.

Providing friendly guidance, workshops, events, and (soon) a helpline designed to reduce stress, isolation, and worry.

Working with mosques, imams, and volunteers to ensure support is delivered with respect, understanding, and compassion.

A Growing Network of Partners

We welcome collaboration with:

  • Community groups and charities
  • Mosques and faith leaders
  • NHS and social care teams
  • Local authorities
  • Researchers and universities
